Timbres
Timbres is a set of stamps created between 2018 and 2020. The stamps, handcrafted of wood and rubber, are variations of basic shapes in different sizes. The complete set is intended as a tool for composition, allowing the exploration of the shapes for musical interpretation.
Timbre Etudes (2021)
The Timbre Etudes are the first approach towards a systematic use of the different shapes and their transformations. Four basic properties are treated in dedicated studies:

Size
Weight
Orientation
Six pages have been printed for each study, afterwards scanned and turned into animated scrolling video scores. With a scrolling speed of 45 seconds per page, the overall duration of a single study is 4'30''.
Orientation
In this study, the property of orientation is modulated for different shapes. Color, size and weight remain unchanged. The original animated score is rendered in 4k resolution.
